For those of you have difficulty navigating the OreStar website I have provide links to the campaign finance tracking for selected candidates below. The Coos County Alliance for Progress apparently invited certain commissioner candidates to interview with its board members, Jon Barton, Al Pettit, Ron Stuntzner, John Knutson and Joe Benetti. The committee has made contributions to Fred Messerle in the amount of $4,000, John Sweet for $1,500, Tim Bishop for $250, Melissa Cribbins for $750 and Mary Loiselle for $250. All accepted the contributions with the exception of Mary Loiselle who had the good character, in my opinion, to return the check.
To track the candidates contributions and spending you can start on these links and then click “Campaign Finance Activity”

I just heard Fred Messerle make this statement in one of his many many ads: “We can no longer afford The Status Quo.”
THE MESSERLES’ ARE THE DAMNED STATUS QUO FRED !!!!!
THE CHOSEN FEW ARE THE STATUS QUO, DON’T PULL MY FINGER FRED.
edit: “stuck IT TO THE Pharma/Ins co’s”
When I see big Pharma supporting a candidate, I know immediately they have sold out. The embarrassing thing is, our representatives sell out so cheaply they are worse than $2-dollar whores (no offense to working girls) – I mean, what does Kruse have to do for a measly thousand bucks from Glaxo-Smith-Kline? Promote the unnecessarily high cost of American medicine? Not allow Americans to buy medicine from Canada or Mexico? Fight single-payer? Fight medical-marijuana? Cheer the increases in premiums?
These people take their crumbs and turn themselves into cheap little bullhorns for their masters. I’d have a grudging respect if they really stuck it Pharma/Insurance Co’s and got some big bucks, but they are weak and lack conscience and would sell out their family and friends for $1,000. Or a Caribbean vacation. Or a car lease. Embarrassing and sad. At least go for a cool million if your decisions are going to add to the misery of others.
I wondered the same thing.(Kruse) Why? Because he can I guess.
We have to make sure every voter understands that a vote for The Chosen Few is a vote to continue the stagnation in Coos County.
These people ARE Coos County, and that is WHY we have to throw every one of them out. They’ve had forty damn years. Four decades “to bring jobs to Coos county” they’ve failed miserably except to treat us like third-world captives with absolutely NO hope unless we continue to support the Welfare Kings and Queen at SCDC and the Chamber. They’ve had their way, they lost it, they must not have the keys to the car again. Messerle? Are you kidding me?
I have no idea but obviously Facebook has never spoken to him. The real question is why is he accepting thousands of dollars from big Pharma and healthcare?
Yep, saw the ORCCA headline, again, didn’t bother to read.
So why did Facebook give money to Kruse? That is odd….
Yes, it has been mentioned before that ORCCA serves as a great distraction for the paper to avoid writing about things contrary to the interests of the chamber, et al. If I were ORCCA I wouldn’t talk to the paper either, it has shown again and again it isn’t responsible and eventually enough is enough. They don’t owe the paper anything and ORCCA probably wouldn’t talk to the National Enquirer or any other tabloid either.
Also, I love how the paper wants a full time dedicated, professional and “passionate” assessor but commissioners…. eh, not so much
Have you noticed how every time mgx prints some juicy news the World attacks the local food bank?
