The Joint Council of Teamsters #37 out of Portland have backed Randy Sanne for Coos County Commission. Sanne is running against incumbent Bob Main and challenger and interim position two commissioner, Fred Messerle.
When my oldest son, a Marine, left for war and crossed the border from Kuwait into Iraq in March 2003 I started writing my conscience. After two tours that young combat veteran’s mother is now an ardent peace activist and advocate for social, environmental and economic justice.
MGx has matured since those early vents and ramblings and now covers relevant and important local and regional matters in addition to national and global affairs.
Bobby is absolutely correct. The Teamsters have taken my money for 40 years and for the last 20 have done nothing for me. But yet they back that lazy ass Sanne who claims to have been to stupid to know the Solid Waste was falling apart. It was his job to work on it.
Just like Obama, he waste taxpayer dollars,ie a third opinion for the Solid Waste Dept. As for being like Clinton, He claims to have been instrumental in negotiations when Weyerhaeuser
closed it’s doors in Springfield. Clinton most famous act, NAFTA. Loss of more jobs. Sanne and Carter are exactly alike, ZERO”S
Considering Sanne has publicly stated he disagrees with the Brady Report and has been out in front on the other fiscal issues your question, curious, seems out of place. As for Bobby, be specific about what you think isn’t being covered at these BOC meetings. What do you think the “watch-dogs” are not doing?
Trying to vet the candidates, will be a challenge, since they all tend to go very quite, once they announce their intentions to run. most of these candidates check this blog to feel the pulse. Where are they now, and where do they stand on the more questionable issues concerning this area. They know what those issues are, but it might be like pulling teeth to get them to discuss those items. Here we are guys and gals. Impress us.
There is an old saying that us non union business leaders have heard. “If the organization is at war with itself, it can never be very effective on the battlefield of business”. Instead of fighting guys, perhaps we can find one candidate who deserves our support. And, it isn’t Messerle or the Tribe’s candidate or some candidate who will take two years to locate the county toilet. Martin L. King Jr. said, “the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy”. Where does Mr. Sanne stand on why he was not closer to the problems at the solid waste facility. Why his assessment of problems and proposed solutions was so far from the position of the alleged experts. He appears quite confrontational these days. Time to convince us that he deserves our support. We are ALL seeking better than what we have now.
To themguys. Who might them ——- be that you are refering to? By the tone of your comment you sound like one of those ignorant idiots, that sit at the BOC meetings thinking you are looking out for the best interest of the County. When in reality your all just wasting everyones time. Just a bunch of hot air and dribble being spewed from most of the old time so called watch-dogs.
Nonsense, I’m glad to hear it. Just because Kock Suckers TELL you something, doesn’t mean it’s true. Unions will be the only thing standing between the Kochs and the work force .
This would be a major reason not to vote for Sanne. Union backing. Unions were needed once. Now they take dues and lack support for the working members and protect only the weak. A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link. Unions have caused the chains in this County to be very weak. Sorry to hear the unions are backing Sanne. This may have costed you the election..

And Bobby brought his friend Reno !
How precious.
The Teamster Union also backed Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Obama.
The Teamsters are a joke.
Why Bobby, so pleasant to have you here. I’m sure your agenda isn’t nearly as obvious as your intellect is. I’ll leave it to M to “police” her blog.
