The Beaver Hill Disposal Site has survived as an incinerator facility despite varying styles of management, budget constraints and even the apparent effort by Waste Connections to starve it of badly needed revenue because the operations staff are dedicated to making it work. They fabricate new pieces, weld joints, repair parts and climb over, around and through the plant the plant like monkey’s in a tree. Some of them recognizing that a mountain is being built from a molehill with regard to the current duct work have taken the initiative and analyzed the necessary repair work and are putting together a plan to replace the affected ducts while still operating two of the burners. They will present this plan in a few days and we can hope that the commissioners give it them the courtesy they deserve and the plan the attention it deserves before wasting taxpayer money.
Meanwhile, here are some photos of the ducts in question, the replacement ducts and a comparison to the working ducts.

Some people will humble themselves for so little money or prestige, not realizing they’ll gain neither.
poor try, I was going to say ‘good try’ but it wasn’t.

Clark is doing that to drive up counts on his other rabid threads. I’ve noticed it as well, he’s very selective on who he lets be heard isn’t he?
I notice The World isn’t allowing comments on their article…obviously, they can’t print the truth about the ductwork or the employees stepping in or the reserve funds….The World sure does march lock-step with Fred & Co. They are about as clever as 4th-graders.
Considering Cam Parry is the liaison to solid waste, Messerle’s personal attention to the department has always seemed very curious.
Why do we, the citizens of Coos County who own this operation, need a department head who did not have a contingency plan in place in the event of such a failure? Why does our appointed commissioner Messele rely on an outside organization instead of relying on county employees being paid to keep the facility operable? Isn’t it time for Messerle and his management by committee to explain to us, his employer, what in the hell he is trying to accomplish? Why should we rely and anything Messerle says after failing so many times to substantiate the findings of his SCDC friends on the structure comittee? It’s time for Messerle to return to the ranch and for the people to elect a capable commissioner!
