Pettit’s perception is not everyone’s reality
It is clear that commissioner opponents, incumbent Bob Main and challenger Randy Sanne share a few common views, in particular, their mutual disdain for the opinions and tactics used by structure advisory committee co-chair, Al Pettit. Speaking at the Americans For Prosperity meeting this week, Sanne fielded a question about the recommendation to hire a county manager. The recommendation is not popular with AFP members and it opened the door for more comments about the often insulting Al Pettit.
Main responded to arrows thrown by Pettit at Main during the most recent BOC meeting indicating Pettit is unprofessional as well as divisive.
Ima, I agree somewhat. All we CAN do is watch and listen and pay attention, thank gawd the voters have been forced to pay attention, huh?
Like I’ve said for several years now, when things get so bad, and we on the “Left” are forced so far to the left, and those on the “Right” go so far to the right, somewhere back there, we will meet in the middle, then and only then can we take back “our” government. I probably would not agree with Randy Sanne on many social issues, but I, at this age, have a pretty good grasp on who is trying to blow smoke up my old arse, and those who genuinely, love this nation, and want to help her shake off this insanity we’re dealing with. Being a terribly far lefty, I recognize no candidate will be what I WANT, but honesty and character mean more to me than a clone of what I want. I think his honesty will please those on the left, and his work ethic, and honesty will please those on the right, and THAT is even MORE than I expected. I hope to meet and hear Mr. Sanne speak . I won’t vote for a “savior”, an honest hard working man will get my vote from here on out.

Rogue? The generally accepted definition of rogue is a dishonest or immoral person. Pettit is many things. Rogue?? Hopefully we do not have another situation where the accuser does not understand the term definition – remember Stufflebean and his corruption? Any MBA candidate knows that those who are not leaders nor followers or who are afraid to get out of the way or fear making a decision form a committee. Generally committees are formed in the image of the person forming the committee. Is there really that much difference between Messerle and Barton and Pettit? All have as a primary objective to spend your money for a county manager who they can control. All want to rule the county. It’s time to say good bye to all three. Randy Sanne may be the ideal candidate but to date he’s a one issue (acclaimed budget expert) candidate. It’s not too early for him to convince people on the fence like me that he deserves our support.
