Human Rights Advocates of Coos County, Good Grief America and Take Back America for the People will be sponsoring an event on August 23 called “Visioning the Future.” It will be held from 11:30-6:30 at The Green Spot in Coos Bay, 181 Anderson Avenue.
If you cannot envision a future without war, with jobs available for anyone who can work, free renewable energy for all citizens, sustainable fishing, hunting, forestry and agriculture; an environmentally responsible energy policy and a government responsive to the needs of We the People over the interests of corporations then you will want to come and see what we have to say.
The event will feature speakers Bill Bradbury, Nancie Koerber and Dr Rick Staggenborg, among others. Every participant will be available to answer questions one-on-one with anyone attending.
Bill Bradbury is a former Oregon Secretary of State and was a gubernatorial candidate in 2010. He has presented many times on the problems of carbon emissions and what we need to do to address problem responsibly.
Nancie Koerber is the founder and Director of Good Grief America, a nonprofit based in Medford that helps those who are in foreclosure or struggling to make mortgage payments.
Dr Rick Staggenborg is a former VA psychiatrist at the North Band clinic who resigned to run for the US senate. He is a member of the national council of the Alliance for Democracy and founder of Take Back America for the People, an educational non-profit.
The event is free to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend.
