Nicholas McGuffin, convicted of manslaughter for the 2000 death of his fifteen year old girlfriend, Leah Freeman, will learn his sentence tomorrow. Oregon sets a minimum sentence for a 1st degree manslaughter, a Measure 11 crime, at ten years and a maximum of twenty with credit for time served.
Hearing is scheduled for 1:30 PM August 1 at the Coos County Courthouse.
