Slate has an interactive map detailing levels of obesity in children across the country.

Typically, an obese child is defined as one who at or above the 95th percentile of body mass index, as compared to benchmark height and weight data collected in the 1960s and 1970s. Using the numbers from 40 years ago as a baseline, the National Survey of Children’s Health collected data on the rate of obese children in each state for the year 2007.
