From the Bandon Woodlands Community Association
COOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PLEASE
Don’t sell out our County mineral rights!
YOUR COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WILL DISCUSS THE FUTURE OF COOS COUNTY FOREST AND POSSIBLY AWARD THE MINERAL RIGHTS AT LESS THAN MARKET VALUE ON
Tuesday November 23rd
Coos Bay City Council Chambers 6pm
The County is being offered royalties of only 3.5% on chromite and only 5% on gold and platinum in the County Forest
Local Sand and gravel royalties are 8%
Gold and Platinum royalties are up to 15%
Net after logging cost on your timber 55% to 75% depending on the prices of timber
PLEASE ATTEND THIS IMPORTANT MEETING IF YOU WANT TO PROTECT COOS COUNTY FOREST FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS
These lease holds could tie up the county forest for decades and destroy half of the county forest sustained yield which is vital to Coos County’s economy.
