From Adam Colby to Terri Turi, Coos County Clerk
Statement of Justification
It is my privilege to serve as assessor, and I am elated to have successfully transformed the office into a shining example of customer focused public service. You face a clear choice on your recall ballot; stand firm so I can finish what I have started, or regress back to the unfettered government employment culture.
Before you vote, please consider the following:
1. I stepped up and ran for assessor by announcing my intentions to increase customer service to the public, and have done exactly what I promised.
2. Not one of my office peers accepted the challenge to run for assessor though they had the same opportunity.
3. They have quit while I have remained faithful to my duties, making no excuses for effectively addressing an entrenched status quo.
4. I have gone the distance for positive and necessary improvements because you deserve optimum quality and attention for your tax dollars.Serving as assessor is a challenging and rewarding endeavor.
I am proud of my accomplishments on your behalf and would step up again in a heartbeat.
Sincerely,
Adam Colby
Yes, everyone drop their subscription to The World. If I had one I would have already done it.
Look in today’s Register Guard and you will read stuff that should have already been published locally… if the editor really wanted to inform his readers, that is.
What more could a reasonable person expect from Colby. It’s time for the Board of Commissioners to put up or shut up. They have lobbed their gernade (their June 29 letter) into the market place hoping to kill Colby. They didn’t but they injured many of us. Now like cowardly terrorists they hide from the public when asked to explain what they are doing. Read my letters to the state attorney general and to the Coos County district attorney. Demand to know all answers before you mark your ballot. Petrhaps if we all cancel the World paper for a month, they will get the message.
