Recently finished reading ‘No One Would Listen – A True Financial Thriller’ authored by attempted whistle blower Harry Markopolos about the Bernard Madoff $65B Ponzi scheme. Talk about a page turner.
Also read The Big Short – Inside the Doomsday Machine by Michael Lewis about the billions made betting against the sub-prime mortgage debacle. Both provide some amazing insight into the machinations of Wall Street and while Lewis is by far the better writer, Markopolos a self described ‘quant’ does a great job of explaining how such a monumental fraud could continue when some of the largest funds in the world became primary investors with Madoff.
