After trying very hard to complete the V-LIM turbine with local talent I am giving up on Coos Bay for the time being and taking the components to Portland for final assembly. Once complete we will bring it back to Coos County for testing.
Recent bad experiences with some local ‘business persons’ and local workers, the character of whom seem to be more prevalent than not, have left a very bad taste in my mouth for ever establishing a manufacturing facility in Coos County. Rogue River Wind, Ltd, will see the Western Oregon Wind project through for the school kids and then leave Coos County to the ‘manly men’ who think nothing of trying to pick the pockets of a hard working companies and the public that lets it happen.
Not that all experiences have been bad, there are good companies in Coos County like Koontz Machine Shop in Coos Bay and CAPCO powder coating in Coquille, (well worth the drive from North Bend), even the International Port of Coos Bay has been awesome, but the three bad experiences are soooo bad that I just don’t want to do business here anymore. Luckily for me, I don’t have to.
And they are out there M. You’ll be so much further ahead. I appreciate how hard you tried to do something for this county. I have to stay here, and it will be a sadder, poorer county without you and your incredible project.
Hell the County Commissioners are going to spend upwards of a million of our dollars to literally “Pave the Way” for a foreign-owned, absolutely financially broke corporation to mine on private Weyerh. land, with not ONE DAMN PENNY TO THIS COUNTY.
But hey, all you Stufflebutt fans out there? Git yer damn wallets out fellas and Wittless. Oh, I forgot, you’re already on the public dole.
Every voter in this county deserves whats’ a commin.
Quite frankly, perhaps we could have enjoyed the F’n if we’d had a chance to put on our latex.
Hmmm?!
Sounds interesting. 🙂
And silly ol me thought it was just SCDC and the Movers and Shakers of this county. The more I see and hear of it, every scamster and his other brother darryl, will set their sites on gittin some o yers fer his own self.
Truly, I’ve seen a lotta livin in my lifetime, but I never saw nothin like what goes on here.
I’m coming to believe it has something to do with the energy here, perhaps we have stickers on our arses that say, “hey, I’m trusting, and I’ve got a great idea, come see if ya can scam me too”.
Either that or this place sucks yer brains out and you don’t even realize it.
I say more power to ya. Git the good energy outta here before anymore of THEM GUYS try to git ya again, cause this place is sorely lacking in positive energy, I have to admit.
Can’t ya just hear em now? “WELL IF YA DON’T LIKE IT HERE, GO BACK TO KALIFORNY !!”
I don’t think it’s a matter of liking it here, more than a matter of what the hell is wrong with you people?
What we have here is some Have Gots, and a whole community of I’ll Have Some of Yours.
Sad to see it though.
You and your ‘cohorts’ instigated real change for a while, Coquille is certainly a better place now. But a small group of progressive people cannot sustain the energy to change much before they are exhausted. The chair-sittin, gun totin, rest of us just sit and watch, then let themselves be screwed over and over and over again.
“I let em screw me cuz it’s easier than doin somethin about it”
“And I hate YOU for making me face it”.
Sometimes it is necessary to stop swimming upstream and coast for awhile. Obviously I was mistaken about Coos County wanting jobs and independence… I mean, look who gets elected and appointed around here. Then look at what gets accomplished. Then look at the unemployment rate. Coos County is suffering because it chooses to and far be it for me to intrude on those democratic choices.
So I am going to sit back and let progressive energy waters carry me to more positive and professional climes and catch my breath.
Whatever it is, never pay in advance AND don’t do business with men who think nothing of trying to bully women
Oh what a long strange trip it’s been !
Perhaps it’s the magnets, you know? Maybe that gravitational pull just brings the, um, well let’s just say NOT the best out in people. You have certainly met your fair share here, I do swear.
I bet that radio guy Step and Fetchit is still trying to untie his undies. What you do to the man is truly a magical thing to see. Turned him into a slobbering frothing bundle of nonsense.
People behaving badly, huh?
