Yesterday, I nipped out of Minneapolis, leaving the GOP convention to my learned, independent journalist/activist friends, to join my children in sunny San Diego. My son, Gabrial, picked me up at the airport and along with my daughters, we were at the beach within minutes. The waves are a lot bigger than the girls are used to but they had it figured out pretty quickly and would have gone on for hours if I hadn’t said it was time to get home.
I hope to find a little time to keep up with local and national politics and summarize the conference I attended in Minneapolis. There were many excellent speakers, however, Scott Ritter and Jeremy Scahill were outstanding. James Yee attended and brought pics of Gitmo… I shot pics of his pics from the slide presentation.
