Is this another example of police following “acceptable” procedures folks?
Do you citizens who are defending the Coq. police dept., hands down, agree that this is okay? The man is a quadraplegic, and was “fleeing from a traffic violation” , in his wheelchair? I suppose maybe he was “resisting”? Was he a threat to himself and the cops? I’m sure some of you have swallowed so much kool-aid you can’t even look at something like this without defending the cops, right?
Oh, one more thing, the Sheriff in charge lied and said they had never had a man in a wheelchair, nor did they dump one out of said wheelchair. Then the tape turned up, oops !!
Cops lie, deputies lie, attorneys lie, the garbage man lies, children lie, Presidents lie, but when you break a mans neck and think you’re justified, that’s not going to fly anymore.
Because of the internet and blogs such as this, things are a changin.
You might also google the video of a young woman who called the police for help, she ends up in jail, being strip searched by two male and two female cops, she’s handcuffed for most of it. She was then held , naked, in a cell for six hours.
If we, the people, do not start holding the people who work FOR US responsible, this will only embolden them to continue .
I saw the second video tonight on national news, if the cops were in plainclothes, you would not be able to tell it from a sexual assault X rated film. It’s frightening.
So please, don’t write and tell us “the cops are just doing their job”, there is a dangerous precedent there.
As far as all the “good” the cops do? THAT is what we pay them to do.
