With the fall and winter weather setting in, Veterans For Peace will be starting up their film series at the Bandon Library in November. Films with relevant topics to veterans and their families will be shown each month. Two of the topics which are near and dear to me are PTSD and how families cope with the horrific changes brought upon their sons or daughters. VFP will hope to have a speaker from the VA to address this very topic.
Another topic of which I am most interested is the current state of media in this country. Media complicity in global affairs including the conflict in Iraq and promoting independent media will be another topic.
Film lists and speakers will be provided here and published in the local papers.
